iPixel Skin Resurfacing

Alma’s iPixel YAG 2940nm is a highly effective ablative treatment with many benefits such as skin resurfacing for post acne scarring, laser peeling, and fine or deep lines. The iPixel significantly improves overall skin tone, elasticity, texture, increases moisture content, and reduces superficial pigmentation and pore size. The treatment mechanism of the Erbium fractional ablative laser promotes accelerated cell rejuvenation allowing for faster healing and tissue regeneration. Erbium lasers work on people with many different kinds of scars or other superficial skin problems in the facial area, neck, chest, arms, and legs.

Unlike traditional ablative laser resurfacing which removes the entire top layer of the skin, iPixel employs a fractional delivery method which creates pixel-sized perforations in the skin, leaving the surrounding tissue intact. This allows the skin to heal faster as the epidermis is regenerated.

The iPixel YAG 2940nm is an ablative laser. After your skin resurfacing treatment you will require some downtime.  It is very important to follow the after-care instructions. Immediately after the procedure, there will be some redness and it may feel like a sunburn. your skin will be very sensitive and you should avoid the sun for the first week after the treatment. The results are not immediate. The skin will need time to heal and you will gradually see the differences over a few days. Optimum results can be seen 3 weeks after the treatment.
